With a vacancy in the admissions staff and data suggesting stealth applicants, Sterling College decided to utilize the budget windfall to redesign and redevelop the college website.
As one of the smallest colleges in the United States (120 students), Sterling needed a efficient, yet effective solution that could be easily managed by the school’s marketing director to drive enrollment and development opportunities.
Caylor Solutions hosted several phone conference calls to understand the aspects of brand and to best understand the unique offerings of the work college. Calls with the marketing director, admissions team, and communications with the president provided the details to respond with an emotive and rich website design utilizing photography provided by the college.
The virtual agency model of Caylor Solutions proved an asset as the entire site was research, designed, and deployed without incurring travel costs or associated expenses and delivered on time and on budget.
Additional features of the site included a custom WordPress plugin developed to provide course catalog information within the context of the website.
As a result, the new site has been well received by alumni, students, staff, the board of trustees and most importantly, prospective students and families. While still too early to measure impact of enrollment, early indications demonstrate a positive impact on admissions and development
